If you've observed, you can't really watch videos play on a minimized active frame while on the home screen of your BlackBerry 10 phone without porting some apps. But this tip would help you.
See Solution Below:-
Type "file:///sdcard" on your browser. Locate your video folder & from there you can play video file & run it on the background/on an active frame. Not sure about all video formats though.
