How to configure the Internet Settings On my Android Phone, Modem & Tablet

The Internet is something you should be able to access every moment of the day if you wish. This can't be possible without the proper internet configuration on your Android phone.
Halt for a moment and think about this. Imagine a week without internet access as a student. Your assignments won't be done.
Even if you do them, they won't have that quality as when you tap your resources from the biggest store existing in our world of today.
You won't have access to interact, share pics and chat with friends. Gosh! It’s going to be so lonely and quite.




If you're passing through something like that, don't worry because it'll soon be over today. I am sharing with you guys, how you can
manually setup Etisalat, Glo, Airtel and MTN internet settings on your Android phone or tab like Samsung, HTC, LG or Tecno & other Android phone. All android phones has the same settings pattern so whichever one you're using, this tutorial will be of immense use to you!
There're a couple of things we'll be needing for this purpose .amongst them is APN i.e. Access Point Name of Etisalat, Glo, MTN and Airtel. We need it for you to be able to configure your Android for internet.


How to configure the Internet Settings On my Android Phone, Modem & Tablet? (Step by step approach) Step 1. Go to Menu or Apps

2. Go to Settings

3(a). Go to Wireless and Networks- Tap Mobile Networks
3(b) More- Tap Mobile Networks => Mobile Data

Step 4. Tap Access Point name

Step 5. Press Menu (looks like four horizontal
lines, a square within a square or the word Menu depending on your device). Then select a New APN
This is where you will enter the specific internet settings of the mobile network you want to configure on your Android device.
Now, let me assume you want to configure Glo
Mobile GPRS settings on your Android. Just key in the details below:-
Android Manual Configuration for Glo

Name: Glo Nigeria
APN: gloflat, APN, glosecure
Proxy:
port:
Username: flat
Password: flat
Server: MMSC:
MMS Proxy:
MMS Port:
MCC:
MNC:
Authentication type:
APN Type:


Then Press “Menu” and select “Save”==> Press on the grey box or circle to the right of “GLO Nigeria” and it will fill in with a smaller green dot or tick mark. That’s all.
NOTE:-Enable data access over Mobile network is ticked. If you look closely at the settings above, you will notice that you entered only the Name, APN, Username and Password while leaving the others parameters untouched.
The four parameters are the main settings you
need to configure to make your android phone or tab to browse with the mobile network of your choice.
Below are the 3G/GPRS Android Internet Settings for MTN, Glo. Airtel and Etisalat Nigeria

1.MTN 3G/GPRS Internet settings for Android
Name: MTN Nigeria
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Username: web
Password: web

2. Glo Mobile Internet settings for Android
Name: Glo Nigeria
APN: gloflat, APN or glosecure
Username: flat
Password: flat

3. Airtel Internet Settings for Android
Name: Airtel Nigeria
APN: internet.ng.airtel.com
Username: internet
Password: internet

4. Etisalat Internet Settings for Android
Name: Etisalat Nigeria
APN: etisalat
Username:
Password:
 
That’s all!
Provided you have already purchased or subscribed to a mobile data plan of your preferred mobile network, you should be able to connect to the internet after you successful manual configuration of your Android device.
